We had the honour of joining Mr Joe Dalton on his prestigious show ‘Breakthrough brands’ last week. It was an immensely interesting conversation. The podcast which should be out this week marked the highs and lows of our first year working at Animation Explainers.
Joe’s tempered style of interview really shone through and made myself and Aaron feel totally at ease throughout the course of the 35 minutes interview in his studio based in Dundrum, Dublin. A seasoned professional Mr Dalton has enjoyed a vastly interesting base of interviewees notably he recently interviewed Tim Hughes whom is a universally recognised leader in ‘social selling’ and he is actually ranked as number one as the most influential social seller in the world. Another standout podcast from his vast collection is his interview with Chris Voss a negotiating expert, Mr Dalton is not afraid to charter out of his own knowledge base and ask tough questions to professionals in really intriguing professions. Chris Voss has used his many years of experience in international crisis and high stakes negotiations as an FBI agent to develop a unique program to merge into the business world, in 2008 he founded the black swan group which specializes solving business communication problems using hostage negotiation solutions!
What really stands out for me looking at Joe’s work with breakthrough brands is how ordinary people can share and build on success stories. We were overwhelmed at the opportunity as two young entrepreneurs to be able to join Joe for an hour on his show and we both hope that it is interesting. We both tried to hit a tempo of funny stories about our really early endeavours and some of the sales techniques which seem to be helping us to propel the business forward.
Another great podcast which myself and Aaron drew a lot of inspiration and drive from was Joe’s conversations with Simon Cocking speaking about the area of Cryptocurrency and Blockchain, this show covered the wide reaching impacts of these new technologies which the man of the street is oblivious to currently, the challenges both areas have in becoming mainstream and Mr Cocking’s own business plans in 2018.
As soon as the Podcast goes live we shall be sharing the content on Linkedin and within our new website portal. Any feedback on the new website is most appreciated, a lot of time and effort has gone into getting it right.
